Who we are
TS Police Hub ("we", "us", "our") is an online exam-preparation service for the Telangana Police Sub-Inspector (SI) and Constable examinations, operated by Anvil Edtech Private Limited and available at tspolicehub.com.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website and app, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. Please read it together with our Terms of Service.
Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to give you an account, save your preparation, and improve the service:
- Account details — your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your verified email address and basic profile (name and profile picture) from Google.
- Phone number — we collect your mobile number so we can secure your account and contact you about your preparation, updates and offers (see "How we use your information").
- Learning activity — your test attempts, answers, scores, time spent, progress and analytics, and the notes and lessons you view.
- Payment status — when you buy a paid plan, our payment partner Razorpay processes the transaction and tells us whether it succeeded. We do NOT collect or store your card, UPI, bank or other full payment details on our servers.
- Device and usage data — basic technical information such as your device type, browser, approximate location inferred from your IP address, app version, and log data used to keep the service secure and working.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
- Provide the service — deliver mock tests, previous-year papers, study notes and current affairs, and save your progress across devices.
- Show you your performance analytics, strengths, weak areas and rank.
- Contact you about your preparation, new features, study material, important updates and offers. We may reach you by phone call, email, SMS or WhatsApp. You can ask us to stop marketing messages at any time by writing to us.
- Process payments and keep a record of your plan and its validity.
- Improve the service, understand which features are useful, and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms.
Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Google, Google confirms your identity and shares your verified email address and basic profile (name and profile picture) with us. We use this only to create and secure your account.
We never see or receive your Google password. You can review and manage the access you have granted at any time in your Google Account settings.
App notifications
Our Android app can send you notifications, such as daily current affairs, quiz reminders and important updates. The app asks for your permission first, and notifications stay off unless you tap Allow.
If you allow notifications, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging gives your device a notification token. We store this token with your account and your app language so we can deliver notifications to you. Firebase delivers the messages for us as a service provider; we do not use the token for advertising.
You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone's settings. When you log out, we unlink the token from your account, and you can ask us to delete it by contacting us.
Cookies and sessions
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your language preference, and understand how the service is used so we can improve it. On our website we also use advertising cookies from Meta (Facebook and Instagram), described under "Advertising and measurement" below. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect features such as staying logged in.
Advertising and measurement (Meta)
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To measure how well those ads work and to show our ads to people who have visited our website, we use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API, provided by Meta Platforms.
When you visit our website, the Meta Pixel may collect the pages you view, actions you take (such as signing up, opening the plans page or starting a purchase), and technical information such as your IP address, browser, device and cookies or identifiers set by Meta. The Meta Pixel is not used inside our Android app.
When you create an account, start a purchase or buy a paid plan, our website and server may tell Meta that this happened (for a purchase: the order reference, amount and currency), together with your email address, phone number and account ID in hashed form — converted into a scrambled code that cannot be read back — so Meta can match it to an ad. We never send Meta your payment details, test answers, scores or study activity.
Meta handles this information under its own privacy policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy). You can manage ad personalisation in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences and block cookies in your browser, and you can ask us to stop using your information for advertising by contacting us.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in limited ways:
- Service providers — trusted partners who help us run the service, such as our hosting/cloud provider and our payment partner Razorpay. They may process your information only on our instructions and for the purposes described here.
- Advertising partner — Meta Platforms, only as described in "Advertising and measurement", to measure and improve our ads. This is not a sale of your personal information.
- Legal reasons — where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or us.
- Business transfer — if the service is merged, acquired or reorganised, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and afterwards only for as long as necessary to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements or to resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights and choices
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate, and to request deletion of your account and personal data. To make any of these requests, email us at tspolicehub@gmail.com from the email address on your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some information may be retained where the law requires it.
You can also opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting us.
Eligibility and children
The service is intended for candidates preparing for the Telangana Police examinations. It is meant for users aged 18 and above. If you are under 18, you may use the service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts this policy on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect information from children without such consent; if you believe we have, please contact us so we can remove it.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and secure payment processing through Razorpay — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your account credentials confidential.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the service. Your continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Consent
By creating an account and using the service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Our commitment to your data
We treat your personal information with the strictest care and use it only for the purposes described in this policy. We handle personal data in line with applicable Indian data-protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and only keep the minimum information needed to run the service.
Contact and grievances
If you have any questions, requests or complaints about your privacy or this policy, you can reach our Grievance Officer at tspolicehub@gmail.com. We will acknowledge your concern promptly and respond within the timelines required by applicable law.
